Yolo 4 SMUD-Davis Campaign
- Conducted field organizing and general management of the Yolo 4 SMUD campaign—Davis promoting public power initiative in Yolo County.
- Liaisoned with candidate controlled campaign committees in Woodland and Sacramento.
- Prepped and trained spokespeople for local and national media exposure, including live appearances on CNBC and KCRA, and print opportunities in the New York Times, Bloomberg, Sacramento Bee and community papers.
- Drafted campaign materials and editorial content.
In the face of $15 million plus spent by PG&E, the Davis campaign secured a
63% majority in support of public power.

- Provided research, editing and report compilation services to Real Estate and Fixed Asset Services division of Duff & Phelps, a leading independent financial advisory firm serving client needs in the areas of valuation, investment banking and transaction advice, and dispute consulting.
University of California, Davis
UC Davis College of Agricultural & Environmental Sciences
- Co-authored a strategic communications assessment and improvement plan for the UC Davis College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences in preparation for the college's participation in the university's largest comprehensive fundraising campaign to date.
- Report included qualitative research findings from interviews with California agribusiness leaders and college alumni and detailed how those constituencies viewed the college and its research programs, as well as each constituency's preferred method of communication.
UC Davis MIND Institute
- Researched and authored legislative testimony for MIND Institute executive director in response to California legislative inquiry about autism treatment in underserved communities.
- Performed government relations work on behalf of Institute with legislative committee staff responsible for organizing hearing.
UC Davis Health System
- Researched, conducted interviews and authored article on stem cell research policy environment in UC Davis Medicine, the Health System's quarterly magazine.
Sacramento Municipal Utility District
- Provided strategic counsel and media relations work to consulting firm R.W. Beck, and its clients the Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Yolo County and cities of Woodland, West Sacramento and Davis during the release and public deliberation upon a public power feasibility study.
- Facilitated a strategic messaging session and drafted message points for presentations by management and elected officials.
- Performed follow-up grassroots outreach, including representing client interests before elected officials and neighborhood and business organizations.
- Drafted and edited elements of a newspaper advertising campaign and managed web site content for the study site.
Pardee Homes—Livermore Trails Project
- Drafted a series of supportive op-ed materials for construction of a 100% solar powered community in controversial development area of north Livermore.
- Planned, pitched and set-up press conference announcing solar component of project, securing major Bay Area press coverage including three TV stations, two additional Spanish-language TV stations, two radio outlets and four print outlets.
